The core idea has not changed: tremolo picking, blast beats and folk melodies under clean vocals, a whole that balances melancholy with something brighter than the genre usually allows.
The album came out on 2 October 2026, with artwork by Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan. Set against «Traverse the Bealach», the record has more elaborate vocal lines and piano.
For anyone following the Virginia sound and the more atmospheric side of post-metal, Shy, Low’s «Purity Spiral», Grant The Sun’s «Biomes» and our October 2026 roundup give a good point of comparison.
Heike Langhans, Bonnie Dunn and Penny Dunn take the vocals on the songs, while Dunn himself keeps the lead role. The collaboration with Langhans adds a more ethereal layer that suits the folk influences and keeps its distance from the usual black metal manner.
