Nevermore have given out professionally shot footage of «The River Dragon Has Come», as they played it at Bloodstock Open Air 2026. The show took place on 8 August at Catton Park, in Walton-on-Trent, England, and the video shows the whole performance from the festival stage.

The song comes from «Dead Heart In A Dead World», the band’s fourth album, released in 2000 and still one of the most recognisable records in their catalogue.

The Bloodstock show was part of the first year in which the reunited band returned to the stage. Guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams brought Nevermore back with guitarist Jack Cattoi, bassist Semir Özerkan and singer Berzan Önen, and the new line-up played its first concert in Istanbul on 1 April. In September came appearances alongside Judas Priest.

Next in line is the European «Liminal Spaces» tour, 21 headline shows with Rivers Of Nihil and Urne as guests on most of the dates. It opens in Berlin on 29 April 2027 and closes with two shows in Turkey: Istanbul on 27 May and Ankara on 28 May.

Before that, the group is working on its first album with the new line-up. Williams had said the timing was right, since the project «had been simmering for a while and is now taking shape», while for the new music he offered one word: «delicious, so good it leaves you wanting more». Loomis remembered the first time he saw Önen’s audition video: he stood out on the very first listen, with feeling and passion, and he understood straight away that he was a fan of Warrel Dane.
