Evan Seinfeld says it is rare for a band from the hardcore scene to keep its original line-up, and he is grateful that all four members of Biohazard are still here and healthy.
“`The bassist and singer spoke on the show «Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches» about «Divided We Fall», the album released in October 2025 by BLKIIBLK. It was their first work after «Reborn In Defiance» of 2012 — 13 years later — and it came after the reunited classic line-up had spent two years on the road.
People, he says, compared the record with «Urban Discipline» of 1992, and he gives a large part of the credit to producer Matt Hyde: the comments he read said Biohazard had gone back to 1994 and took a piece of that era, with a modern sound though. Seinfeld called it the best-produced album of the band.
He did not hide that at first he was confused about the direction: the band had just reunited, the shows had turned into tours and suddenly BLKIIBLK asked them to be the first band signing to the label, with a new album. Hyde, he says, was the one who stopped them: he told them they were overthinking it, because they are Biohazard and they know how to do it.
He also stood up for the rest: Danny Schuler’s drumming is excellent, Bobby Hambel’s solos are his best, while Billy Graziadei’s vocals are at their best point. The way they talk over each other inside the songs, he says, is a recipe that works.
