Mutation from Stockholm, Sweden, release their first full-length, «Esoteric Order of Debauchery», on 9 October 2026 via Hell’s Headbangers. It’s a death metal quintet rooted in the sound of the mid-to-late 80s, with a thrash streak and a filthy, sick atmosphere.

The band started in 2019 as a duo, with drummer S.N (Antichrist, ex-Mystik) and guitarist K.L (ex-Beastiality), aiming to make a sound inspired by underground 80s death metal. By 2022 they had become a quintet, and in 2023 came the «Demo ’23» tape, where echo-laden vocals and raw intensity blurred the lines between black, death and thrash.
The album doesn’t settle for the feel of a demo from the era. It builds a fast and dirty record, moving like the speed metal of «Altars of Madness» and reaching more bestial waters. The opener «Occultation of the Ephemeral Light» and «Pestilent Whore» set the tone, while «Metamorphosis (Beyond the Flesh)» closes the first side with more worked-out riffs. On the second side «Necromantical Holocaust» and the title-track outro stand out. On vocals N.S (Atonement, Lepra) adds the finishing touch with his savage tone. Eight tracks, 33 minutes.
