Cadaverous Odour is the personal project of Sasha Gallant from Santa Ana, California, also known from Depraver and Dimensionless. The debut full-length album «Sickening Hallucinations of Altered Existence» comes out on CD on 26 October 2026 from Memento Mori, with cover art by Nightmare Imagery, and «Disoriented Afterlife Existence» is one of the tracks that get heard first.

Country: USA
Genre: Old school death metal / deathgrind
For fans of: Infester, early Incantation, Xysma, Disembowelment

The band started in the summer of 2023, with the aim of mixing everything Gallant loves about death metal: the murk of Infester and early Incantation, the speed of Incubus and Morbid Angel, the dark grind feel of the Finns Agonized and Xysma, the strange leads of Necrophiliac and the hypnotic blend of doom and grind of Disembowelment.

At first it was a side project, since Depraver and Dimensionless remain his main bands. But the project drew people in, the three demos were collected on the CD «Primordial Stench» that Memento Mori put out in 2025, and the time came for a full record. Before it, the demos «Corpus Inhumation» and «Cadaver Mutilation» (2024), the single «Stilled Life» (2024) and the demo «Corporeal Separation» (2025) had been released.

«Disoriented Afterlife Existence» belongs to the second half of the album and is one of its slowest and most doom-laden tracks. Instead of tight, fast deathgrind, here the playing spreads out: the guitars build tension at a slow pace and then explode into a grind burst. The production is heavy and underground, the leads play with the whammy bar and the vocals stay low, in a deep growl.
