Serpent Skies are back with «Where Is Your God», the second and final single from the album «Hollow Crown», which arrives on 20 November.
The band comes from Gävle in Sweden and formed in 2012, building its sound on the classic Gothenburg melodic death metal template: clean melodies, aggressive riffs and dark atmospheres.
“`The song is an exploration of faith and doubt, of the moment a belief starts to collapse. Lyrics and music pull in the same direction, with the riffs breaking over melodies that stay with you.
In 2012 Serpent Skies put out the «Graveyard Poets» EP on their own, followed in 2013 by the debut album «A Claim to Reality». For anyone following the Swedish sound, In Flames’ «The Jester Race» and Nightrage’s «Wolf to Man» remain fixed reference points, while Mother of Graves’ «The Light That Keeps Us» shows the modern version of the style.
