Rammstein have released official video of «Deutschland» from the upcoming concert film «Rammstein – Live In Mexico City».
The footage was shot across their three shows at the Foro Sol stadium in Mexico City on 1, 2 and 4 October 2022, before almost 200,000 people. It was the closing stretch of the first and only North American tour with the full stadium production.
“`The tour took in 12 open-air dates, starting in Montreal on 21 August 2022, while the stadium tour as a whole ran from 2019 to 2024.
«Deutschland» was the first single from their seventh album of the same name, released in May 2019, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 — their first US top 10. The film is directed by Paul Dugdale, who has made films for the Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Adele.
The film screens in cinemas worldwide for a limited run from 4 November, with the live album following on 20 November. The set includes «Sonne», «Du Hast» and «Du Riechst So Gut» — «Sonne» came out earlier. The singer’s solo side has been busy too, with the «Und die Engel singen» video from «Live In Kraków».
The shoot was in 4K and distribution outside Germany is handled by Trafalgar Releasing, while Filmwelt Distribution covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and South Tyrol. France gets it only on 6 November and Japan on 5 and 18. After the September announcement, fans reported that physical copies were not being shipped to Mexico, with the national crest on the cover given as the reason.
