«In the Wide Vale of Uncreated Night» is the debut full-length from Lugubrious Garment, the outfit put together by Italian musician Gabriele Gramaglia (Cosmic Putrefaction, Vertebra Atlantis). It came out on 16 October 2026 through 20 Buck Spin, carries seven tracks and runs for roughly forty minutes.

Country: Italy
Style: blackened death/grind
For fans of: Black Curse, Immolation, The Chasm

Gramaglia started the project last year as an outlet for ideas that did not fit his other two bands. On the 2025 «Demo MMXXV» it sounded like bestial death metal with grind leanings, somewhere around Black Curse or Heresiarch; now the sound moves in a more technical direction, with more layers and more shifts inside each track.

The core stays black, death and grind, but nothing sits still for long. Claudio Invidia’s drums (Devoid of Thought, Putridity) keep turning, close to the fluid playing of The Chasm and Immolation, and the guitars hold on to the technical aggression of the most extreme deathgrind, as on «Obsidian Majesty» by HEKATOXEN.

The opener, «…And Therein Plant, Unto Their Souls Asunder», shows early on how much fits into a few minutes. «Profaned Fountain Of Leaden Waters» runs almost seven and a half minutes and moves from black-thrash into post-black, «Innocence As A Burden, Guilt As A Weapon» works as a breather in the middle, and the closer, «Eden Fades Like Blurred Nightmares», leans towards a rocking heavy metal passage.

Gramaglia has written everything — guitars, vocals, bass, synths — and recorded, mixed and mastered it at his own Crepuscular Sound Studio. Yr-nhhngr helps on vocals, Giorgio Trombino with a solo and Andrea Morgan with violins; the cover is by Mariya Popyk. For the same worked, dense sound, see also «Godslaughter» by NOTHINGNESS.

The album is out on CD, vinyl and digitally through 20 Buck Spin, which also has pages on Facebook and Instagram.
