Mötley Crüe have released a newly remastered version of «Take Me To The Top», the so-called Leathür Records version, which is now available on streaming services. The track belongs to the 45th anniversary edition of their debut «Too Fast For Love», which arrives on October 30, 2026 via BMG.
“`«Take Me To The Top» has made its way back into the band’s live set. Mötley Crüe played it at the Rockin’ Thunder festival in Winnipeg on July 4, 2026, for the first time since 1984, and kept it on the «Return Of Carnival Of Sins» tour, which wrapped up in September 2026.
The anniversary edition also marks the first time the original Leathür Records version of «Too Fast For Love» will be available on streaming platforms. At the same time, the band have shared «Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be Lonely», an unreleased demo recorded in March 1981.
The limited deluxe box set includes remastered vinyl of both versions of the record: the ten-track 1981 Leathür album and the nine-track 1982 Elektra version. A double LP gathers live recordings from the 1982 shows at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, with early versions of songs from «Shout At The Devil», while a fifth LP collects five unreleased demos from the first recordings of March 1981.
Mötley Crüe released «Too Fast For Love» on their own on November 10, 1981, through their own Leathür Records. The first pressing was only 900 copies. In 1982 they signed to Elektra, which put the record out worldwide on August 20 of that year, with a new mix, a different track order and without «Stick To Your Guns».
«Too Fast For Love» reached number 77 on the Billboard 200 and has gone platinum in the US and gold in Canada. The band’s current line-up is Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5.
