The album’s sound is rooted in classic black metal, but it doesn’t stay there. The snare sounds loud and clean, the guitars are violent and full of melodic riffs, while the vocals never lower the bar for a moment. The opening track «Smoulder Dun» starts like an approaching train — rumble, clatter, screams — and then bursts into an angry, well-crafted black metal. Halfway through it breaks into a melancholic wall before finding its speed again.

«Into Nullity» carries on with frantic drumming and a dense wall of guitars, with high octaves adding epic depth. In the second half it turns to more traditional black metal, with minor-key riffs and choral synths. «O Vrachos» brings a medieval, folk atmosphere: an instrumental piece, with no vocals, introduced by a vinyl-like crackle. «Shrunk» is well-paced and full of riffs, with a short solo and dual vocals that sound tormented — hypnotic yet heavy. «A Limping Pilgrim» starts slow and heavy, with a two-tone scream that opens the way for melodic guitars.

The album closes with «Sound of Insight»: digital soundscapes and samples, a guitar squealing with feedback, and a short, atmospheric finale. Six tracks, well written and carefully produced, showing that Dizziness still have plenty to say within the scene.
