Panos Samaras releases his first personal work. «Άβυσσος Επίγεια» comes out on September 25, 2026 — first digitally and then on limited hard copies — and it is not yet another album with ten separate songs. It is a concept album with a single narrative, divided into nine cycles that tie together like chapters of the same dark and internal story. He himself signs the music, the lyrics and the orchestration, and this time he takes on the vocals for the first time too: he performs it himself, from start to finish.

A return after years
He is no stranger to the scene. From 2010 to 2020 he was the founder and the soul of Φata Morgana Band, who released two albums built on his songs: «Ταξίδι Αγνώστου Προορισμού» in 2011 and «Μόνος Γεννιέσαι – Μόνος Πεθαίνεις» in 2014. On those he was the guitarist and the man behind the music, the lyrics and the orchestrations, with Giannis Konstantinidis on the performance. His return now comes with his own name and his own voice. The Greek scene has other such examples of people who held an entire project on their own: Exile of Heaven returned this year with «Tides of Destiny», ten years after their previous release.
Nine cycles, one story
The album’s premiere will take place on September 25 at 21:00 on YouTube, as a complete album sequence: one listen from the first cycle to the ninth, without breaks and without picking a track. The same day the album will also be available on the digital platforms, again as a single work. At the root of the story stands the Shakespeare saying that accompanies the release: «Hell is empty and all the devils are here».
Two cycles have already been released as an introduction to the album’s world. «Cycle IV: What You Fear» came with a videoclip directed by Kyriakos Anastasiou, while «Cycle III: Last Wish» came with a lyric video. Both are parts of the same narrative, not standalone singles.

On «Άβυσσος Επίγεια» Panos has beside him Giorgos Dimitriadis on drums and Anastasios Karapapazoglou on bass and synths, who also took on the mixing along with the mastering. The narration is done by Athanasios Samaras.
