Immortal will release the box set «Complete Discography 1992-2023» on 29 January 2027, which gathers their entire discography.
It is a collection of 13 LPs on vinyl, available for pre-order from immortalbox.com and from retailers such as Nuclear Blast, Season of Mist and Earache, in several coloured editions.
Inside the box are both the ten studio albums and one live album, in chronological order, covering more than 30 years of the band’s history.
It opens with the debut «Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism» (1992) and continues with «Pure Holocaust» (1993), «Battles In The North» (1995) and «Blizzard Beasts» (1997) — the albums that built their raw, cold black metal sound.
Then come «At The Heart Of Winter» (1999), «Damned In Black» (2000), «Sons Of Northern Darkness» (2002) and «All Shall Fall» (2009), where the band brought more classic heavy metal influences into their sound.
The collection also includes the live «The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh» (2010), recorded at Wacken Open Air in Germany in 2007, while the box closes with the two most recent albums, «Northern Chaos Gods» (2018) and «War Against All» (2023).
Both came out after the departure of long-time singer Abbath in 2015, with founding member Demonaz taking over vocals and guitar.
Immortal were formed in Bergen, Norway in 1990 by Demonaz and Abbath. Demonaz played guitar on the first four albums, until tendonitis forced him to stop in the late 1990s; he continued writing the lyrics and staying close to the band, before returning to the microphone. «War Against All» was released by Nuclear Blast in May 2023.
