Panos Samaras releases his first personal work. «Άβυσσος Επίγεια» is released on September 25, 2026 — first digitally and then in limited hard copies — and it isn’t yet another album with ten separate songs. It’s a concept record with a single narrative, divided into nine cycles that tie together like chapters of the same dark and inner story. He himself signs the music, the lyrics and the orchestration, and this time he also takes on the vocals for the first time: he performs them himself, from start to finish.

A return after years
He isn’t unknown to the scene. From 2010 to 2020 he was the founder and the soul of Φata Morgana Band, who released two albums based on his songs: «Ταξίδι Αγνώστου Προορισμού» in 2011 and «Μόνος Γεννιέσαι – Μόνος Πεθαίνεις» in 2014. On those he was the guitarist and the man behind music, lyrics and orchestrations, with Giannis Konstantinidis on vocals. His return now comes with his own name and his own voice. The Greek scene has other such examples of people who held an entire project on their own: Exile of Heaven returned this year with «Tides of Destiny», ten years after their previous release.
Nine cycles, one story
The album’s premiere will take place on September 25 at 21:00 on YouTube, as a complete album sequence: one listen from the first cycle to the ninth, without pauses and without picking a track. The same day the album will be available on the digital platforms too, again as a single work. At the root of the story stands the Shakespeare quote that accompanies the release: «Hell is empty and all the devils are here».
Two cycles have already been released as an introduction to the world of the album. «Κύκλος IV: Αυτό που Φοβάσαι» came with a videoclip directed by Kyriakos Anastasiou, while «Κύκλος ΙΙΙ: Τελευταία Ευχή» with a lyric video. Both are parts of the same narrative, not standalone singles.

Who is with him
On «Άβυσσος Επίγεια» Panos has beside him Giorgos Dimitriadis on drums and Anastasios Karapapazoglou on bass and synths, who also took on the mixing along with the mastering. The narration is done by Athanasios Samaras.
