Cro-Mags have put out a new version of «It’s The Limit» with Turnstile’s Meg Mills on guitar. The track belongs to «The Age Of Quarrel: 40 Years Of Quarrel», on which the band re-records its entire debut, and it arrived together with a lyric video. The album is out on 13 November 2026 through BLKIIBLK.

Mills said the song meant a lot to her, since without that record she would never have put a band together, and called Harley Flanagan one of the greatest.

Before it came «World Peace», together with the album announcement in August 2026, and «Everybody’s Gonna Die», a song from the 1985 demo era that had never made it onto the record, in September, on the fortieth anniversary.

Alongside Flanagan, who handles vocals and bass, play Doug Holland, who had the second guitar on the original, Rocky George (formerly of Cro-Mags and Suicidal Tendencies) and current members Dominic Dibenedetto and Dave Sharpe. Guests on the record are Mills, Zach Blair and Arthur Rizk, drums on every track are by Sepultura’s Greyson Nekrutman, and Rizk (Power Trip, Blood Incantation) handled production and mixing.

The idea started with the documentary «Harley Flanagan: Wired For Chaos». Some songs had to be recorded again for the soundtrack because the rights to the originals could not be secured, and that is when Flanagan decided to redo the whole album.

Flanagan says none of the 1986 musicians were ever paid or ever received a statement for the sales. For years he tried to gather the original line-up and claim the rights to the record and to 1989’s «Best Wishes» through the rights-reversion process, but the window closed before he could. With the new version, everyone who wrote the songs is paid through ASCAP and BMI and the remaining income goes to a charity.

Original singer John Joseph is not part of it; in January 2026 he said there would be no reunion and had criticised the re-recording. In August 2026 Flanagan stated that he would stop touring extensively after nine more shows.
