NERUMIA have released the lyric video for «Aliénation», the title track of their eponymous new album. It marks the return of the Swiss band, which now presents itself in its current line-up: a trio with a long and difficult road behind it.
“`Their story began in 2001 in Switzerland, with two people: Pasquale «Scual» Rivetti and Philippe «Phil» Privet. Their first record, «The Land of the Black», came out in 2003, and the second one, «I Don’t Understand», in 2007. In 2009 the sudden death of Phil Privet cut the band short, and it fell silent for a decade.
In 2020 the band was put together again, with the addition of Magnus and Juan. Fortune struck it a second time, however: Juan passed away in 2022. Instead of giving up, the members chose to honour his memory by releasing the album «Senza Realtà» (2023), which carries the guitar solos he had managed to record himself. That work served as a tribute, but also as a new beginning for the band.
NERUMIA are a trio now, after Adrien joined the line-up, and they are getting ready for their next step, «Aliénation». Behind the band stand Scual (concept, lyrics, guitars, drums and lead vocals), Adrien (rhythm and lead guitars, vocals) and Magnus (bass, vocals). The lyric video for the track is available on the band’s official YouTube channel.
