The Dead Daisies have announced Kelly Hansen, the former Foreigner singer, as their new frontman, along with the new single «Lift Me Up» and their 2027 tour across Europe, Britain, the USA and Scandinavia.

Hansen takes the place of John Corabi, who left in July 2026. It was his second stint with the band, as he sang with them from 2015 to 2019 and again from 2023.

The new line-up: Hansen on vocals, Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) on guitar, founder David Lowy on rhythm guitar, Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne) on drums and Jimi Crutchley of the Quireboys on bass.

Hansen spent twenty years with Foreigner, with his last shows in Atlantic City in October 2025. He was replaced by guitarist Luis Maldonado.

The band is in the studio working on the new album, with «Lift Me Up» being the first song from the recordings. Aldrich described it as a simple guitar riff and a heavy groove, and says he cannot wait to be back on stage with Hansen, with whom he played together in Hurricane.

The Dead Daisies will spend the rest of 2026 in the studio and return to the road in March 2027. Their most recent records are «Light ’Em Up» (2024) and the covers album «Lookin’ For Trouble» (2025).
