«Scott Weiland: Live» is the first live record in the career of the frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, and it arrives on 23 October 2026 for the first time on digital and CD, together with a limited red vinyl edition. The nine recordings come out of the Weiland family archive and until now existed only on a tiny blue vinyl release for Record Store Day that sold out immediately — the new release comes after demand from the audience.
“`The material comes from the 2009 tour, when Weiland was out on the road behind his second solo album, «Happy In Galoshes». It is a document that shows the singer in his element, with his voice and presence at full stretch, and it is shared between his own catalogue («Paralysis», «Killing Me Sweetly», «Barbarella», «Missing Cleveland», «Blind Confusion») and songs from the wider span of his career: the Stone Temple Pilots picks «Vasoline» and «Unglued», Velvet Revolver’s «Do It For The Kids» and of course a live take on «Interstate Love Song».
As a taster for the record the single «Interstate Love Song (Live)» is already out, with a visualizer put together from concert footage of that tour that had never been shown before. «Scott Weiland: Live» lands a few days before 27 October, Weiland’s birthday — a reason for the audience to go back to a chapter of his career that had never been heard officially.
