Floor Jansen has released «Everything Is Moving On», the third single from her solo album «Hytress», on Friday 23 October, with a video she chose the director for.
“`It is her first new music since announcing she was leaving Nightwish on 15 October, after 14 years with the band. «Hytress» arrives on 15 January 2027 via REVAMP Music and Warner Music.
The song is about time and change, and about the habit of postponing what matters. In her statement she explains that she wants people to be awake to the life they have now, to take the chances that count and to make choices that fit who they are — which sometimes means leaving behind things that no longer fit.
Her path is well known: she came through After Forever, joined Nightwish in 2012 and stayed until the October announcement — when she had spoken of a temporary rest.
The band, meanwhile, keeps its legacy alive: the «Tribal» video from the Ziggo Dome came out ahead of the 30th anniversary collection, while «Yesterwynde» — our look at the album — was the last record with her on vocals.
