Disturbed have finished recording their next album and are aiming to put it out at some point in 2027. Guitarist Dan Donegan gave the timeframe in an interview with Australia’s The Rockpit.

The record follows «Divisive» from 2022. Donegan says the material is already there and that the open question is release timing rather than songwriting.

According to the guitarist, the decision is tied to the band’s return to New Zealand, Australia and Asia in the spring of 2027: they wanted both a plan and a release announcement in place for that run. No date exists yet.

His hope is to have at least one single out before the 2027 travelling, so audiences have something new to hear live. As for the album itself, he says he does not know when it will be ready to go.

Disturbed had come back after five years with «Divisive», while David Draiman has spoken repeatedly about the role of music and about his public positions, and shared a stage with Godsmack and Aerosmith at Sully Erna’s Scars Foundation jam.

On social media Draiman has often been at the centre of things, from his argument with Jack White and Elon Musk to the band’s place in lists of the biggest reactions in metal history. For anyone watching how the bigger nu metal names line up their next moves, Linkin Park are already working on a follow-up to «From Zero».
