Dungeon Serpent are a duo from Vancouver, Canada, and «Lamentations of the Shadowkingdoms» is their second album, out on 30 October 2026. It holds six tracks and arrives five years after «World of Sorrows».
“`Country: Canada
Genre: melodic death metal
For fans of: death metal with melody and a dark atmosphere
The band works in death metal with an emphasis on melody and on atmospheric shifts, lines that were already visible on their first release. On the new record the approach stays the same, with cleaner production and longer songs.
The band builds its sound on two axes: heavy, slow passages and faster stretches with twin guitars. The six compositions turn around repeating motifs that circle back again and again until they close their cycle.
In the same lane sit Hyperion with «Elysia», while Canada also gives us Dream Unending, who work in slower, atmospheric forms.
The album comes out digitally and in physical editions through the band’s Bandcamp page, where «World of Sorrows» is also available for anyone who wants to hear the earlier material first.
