Speaking to NME, Hahn explained that the band went back into the studio shortly after finishing the From Zero tour. According to Billboard, that tour was the most successful in the band’s history, with revenue of 251 million dollars and around 2.2 million tickets.

Asked whether they’ve worked on new material, Hahn replied: «Yes, because we really enjoy each other, and we especially love the creative side, making music. When we were touring in different cities, if there was a day off, we’d go to a studio to experiment with things. When we finished the tour, we decided to take a month off, because we needed a break, but then we went straight back into the studio.»

When asked if they’re planning another album, he joked: «Oh, yes… and it will be very slow and boring, and very divisive for everyone.»

The band is promoting «Unshatter», the new concert film and documentary directed by Hahn, which hits theaters worldwide on Wednesday, September 30.

The film tells the story of Linkin Park‘s return after the 2017 death of singer Chester Bennington. It combines behind-the-scenes footage from the group’s recording sessions with the concert at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque stadium in Brazil on November 15, 2024, the same day From Zero was released.

The 20-track soundtrack, Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live In São Paulo), was released via Warner Records, along with a live video for «Waiting For The End».

From Zero was Linkin Park‘s first record after 2017’s One More Light and the first with singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. It includes the singles «The Emptiness Machine», «Heavy Is The Crown» and «Over Each Other».
