The second album of the Spanish BOCC, titled «Demolarium», finds the Barcelona trio moving away from the crust punk sound of the past and leaning decisively toward the heavier, slower territory of death/doom and sludge. Six tracks, averaging around seven to eight minutes each, and a feel that recalls Cianide, Penance and Grief.

The listen
The title track «Demolarium» opens with a slow, deep march that spreads the doom across the track. «Estigma» steals the show with a nearly ten-minute, Saint Vitus-style riff that develops with small variations, while «4227» continues in the same mood. The weight of the guitars is dropped to the depths and the rhythms are simple and almost hypnotic — not for those looking for speed, but for those who love classic, stripped-down sludge.
In the second half, «Escorxador» raises the tempo, while «Calvari (Dels Condemnats)» has grooves in a «Through Silver in Blood» style. The closing comes with «Ànima d’Acer», the slowest and heaviest point of the record. The band’s lineup has changed: Andreu Cano (A Tomba Oberta) took over bass and second vocals alongside guitarist/singer Emilio C., and the sound became more focused — less scattered than the debut, with the punk energy receding before more substantial, doom paths.
Overall, «Demolarium» is an interesting evolution: more concentrated and more readable than its predecessor, with plenty of soul-crushing riffs and imposing heaviness. The deeper they lean into their fuzz and doom, the better they sound — and here they show it consistently.
