Demons Gate Productions presents Spectral Wound (Canada), who are coming back to Greece in spring 2027 for two concerts: on Wednesday 31 March 2027 at the Kyttaro in Athens and on Thursday 1 April 2027 at the Eightball Club in Thessaloniki.
The details
- Athens: Wednesday 31 March 2027 – Kyttaro, Ippokratous 9
- Thessaloniki: Thursday 1 April 2027 – Eightball Club, Pindou 1 (Ladadika)
- Early bird price: 25€ (in both cities)
Spectral Wound formed in 2014 in Montreal, Québec and from the first moment kept their distance from the idealised landscape, the nationalist ideas and the theatrical scenery that often go together with the genre. Their music looks existential fear, humanity’s decay and the violence it carries inside straight in the eye.
Three records stand out in their journey. «Infernal Decadence» in 2018 showed clearly where they were heading, «A Diabolic Thirst» in 2021 took them further with «Frigid and Spellbound» setting the tone, and in 2024 came «Songs of Blood and Mire», their tightest record: seven tracks where melody and aggression coexist with a sense of decay. «Fevers and Suffering», «The Horn Marauding» and «Aristocratic Suicidal Black Metal» stand out.
Their sound moves between three worlds: the icy melodies of the Finnish scene, the rough feel of classic black metal and the identity of Québec. Darkthrone, Emperor and Gorgoroth fit in the same frame, along with Vinterland and Sacramentum, without any shortage of references to the rock ‘n’ roll of Judas Priest, Motörhead and Iron Maiden. On stage, this becomes riffs that stay in your head, high speeds and an intensity that doesn’t let the crowd relax.
