Electric Callboy: They cover My Hero Academia’s «You Say Run» for the series’ tenth anniversary | Metal Territory

In the anniversary version the track’s orchestral character meets the German band’s sound: vocals, electronic elements and metalcore energy over a theme the audience knows by heart. The collaboration came about when Hayashi wanted to add English lyrics to the new version and the TOHO team was looking for a band that could combine powerful screams with melodic vocals, ending up with Electric Callboy.

“We are incredibly excited to have put our vocals on ‘You Say Run’. Its melody is so powerful and uplifting, we truly love this track,” said Kevin Ratajczak. Nico Sallach called the collaboration a great honor for the band and said creating the new version was especially fun.

“You Say Run -10th Anniversary Ver.-” was performed live at “My Hero Academia IN CONCERT” in London, on September 20, and was released worldwide on September 22, 2026. It is part of the “My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary Project”, with the celebrations for the anime’s decade continuing through the year.

Electric Callboy have become one of the most distinctive names on the modern scene, joining metalcore, electronic music and pop. Their biggest moments include “Hypa Hypa” and “We Got The Moves”, while “RATATATA” with BABYMETAL also struck a chord.
