Wyrm Chasm are a black metal act from Dallas, Texas. On October 23, 2026 they release their first full-length album, the self-titled “Wyrm Chasm”, on vinyl, CD and digital. The album is self-funded, includes eight tracks and among them “Throned Entropy” stands out.

The act formed in March 2015 by guitarist Eric Carrasco and bassist/vocalist Stephen Jeter, aiming for a harsh sound built on raw atmospheres. Their sound moves between atmospheric and melodic black metal: a cold and heavy atmosphere, riffs with intensity and fast drums.
“Throned Entropy” has the character of a mournful outburst, where the melodicism of black metal coexists with more dramatic, atmospheric textures. The rhythm section has a strong presence and the drums set the pace, leaving room for the guitars to spread out. The same mood runs through the rest of the tracks on “Wyrm Chasm”.
Mixing and mastering were handled by S.A.M. Studios in Dallas, the recording took place at Razor Throne Studio in Austin, Texas and the cover was designed by Mark Erskine (Erskine Designs). In the lineup, alongside Jeter and Carrasco, are Dale Childs (guitar, backing vocals) and Buddy Griffin (drums). “Throned Entropy” was given an early listen before the album’s release.
