Linkin Park have released a live video for «Waiting For The End», shot at their concert at São Paulo’s stadium in November 2024. Along with it came the full soundtrack of «Unshatter», the band’s new documentary film.
«Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live In São Paulo)» was recorded at Allianz Parque and is released by Warner Records: 20 tracks — 16 songs and four interludes — from across their journey, with material from 2024’s «From Zero» too.
«Waiting For The End» is from 2010’s «A Thousand Suns» and is the project’s most recent live clip, after the videos for «Somewhere I Belong» and «What I’ve Done» that came out in August.
The film was directed by Joe Hahn, the band’s DJ and turntablist, and opens in theaters worldwide for a limited number of screenings from September 30 — in some countries a few days later, while selected cinemas are also showing it in ScreenX and 4DX.
«Unshatter» tells the story of the return after the seven-year absence that followed Chester Bennington’s death in 2017: the recording sessions from 2022 onward, the arrival of singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, the making of «From Zero» and the São Paulo concert — along with archive material, other live footage and interviews with the band and fans.
Mike Shinoda told BBC News that Hahn had wanted to make a film about the band long before any of this happened, and that «Unshatter» aims to explain their world to those outside it — and to show how the pieces were picked up after the loss of their friend and co-founder.
