The Swedes FEJD release “Nifelheim”, an album that stands out because it replaces the electric guitars with ancient instruments: horns, bouzouki, hurdy-gurdy, mouth harp, Swedish bagpipes and willow flute.
Country: Sweden
Genre: Folk Metal
For fans of: Wardruna, Eluveitie, Korpiklaani
The band has existed since 2001, when the Rimmerfors brothers joined with members of Pathos and Nostradameus. The result is a fresh blend of traditional instruments with Scandinavian mythology.
The music is melodic and nostalgic, with a constant sense of sorrow. The title track “Nifelheim” takes you onto a drakkar sailing the dark waters alongside your viking brothers.
“Nifelheim” was released on August 21 through Black Lodge.
