Elicere come from the Tarn region of France and “[erased]” is their first album. It was released on September 4, 2026 and is available on all the major streaming platforms, with the whole album also uploaded to the band’s Bandcamp.

Their sound is contemporary: the fury of hardcore, the dark atmosphere of black metal and the precision of metalcore combine into a style the band describes as “Socratic metal for the modern age”. The name comes from the Latin elicere — “to draw something out” — and from Socrates’ maieutic method.

“[erased]” tells the journey of Erased, a figure who lives trapped beneath an imaginary dome. From there she watches the vanities, the idols and the blurred relationships of the world, with a mix of disgust and longing. At some point the vision comes: she must become the voice that resists the denial of the end, the illusions of omnipotence and the road to destruction.

The album has eight tracks and the three parts “Erased I : The dome”, “Erased II : The vision” and “Erased III : The battle” follow the heroine’s story step by step, while beside them stand tracks like “Tiger syndrom”, “Vanities mirror” and “Mammon”. Songwriting and guitar are handled by Mathieu Rigotto, vocals and lyrics by Yoanna Rigotto, bass by Raphaël Jarassier and drums by Arely De Waegeneer, with Anthony Salvignol on mixing and mastering. The band formed in 2023.
