REVIEW | Metal Territory
Avarice return with Perpetual Ruin and make it clear that they remain one of the strongest forces of the Danish scene. The album is a wild mix of death and thrash metal, with hardcore energy and melodic elements that add depth without losing the aggression.
The riffs are sharp, heavy and direct, with rhythmic parts that strike relentlessly. Chris Kreutzfeldt’s production gives the record a modern, clean yet simultaneously raw sonic identity. Anders Sinding delivers a vocal presence full of rage and intensity, tying in perfectly with the album’s aggressive direction.

Thematically, Perpetual Ruin revolves around human decay, the rise and fall of societies and dark moral motifs. The band shows a heavier, more mature and more decisive direction, with tracks made to destroy moshpits.
“Beyond the Grave” and “Tyrannicide” stand out as the most complete examples of what Avarice can do in 2026: death/thrash with character, power and a clear identity.
