SEPTICFLESH, one of the most recognisable Greek names in symphonic death metal, have confirmed that the first shows of their North American tour will go ahead as planned. The band will take the stage as a trio, following the injury of Christos Antoniou.
“`As the band themselves announced, Antoniou fell and suffered rib fractures. He needs some time to recover, so he will stay away from live appearances.
The shows, however, are not being cancelled. While he recovers, the remaining members will carry on with the schedule, with the band going forward as a trio.
According to the announcement, the aim is for Christos Antoniou to rejoin the band later in the tour, if his health allows it. No further details about his recovery were made public.
The North American tour starts on 5 October 2026, with the first stop in Riverside, California. Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile are touring alongside SEPTICFLESH, in a big package of shows. SEPTICFLESH’s most recent album is «Modern Primitive», released in 2022.
For now the band is keeping to its schedule and Christos Antoniou remains focused on his recovery. We wish to see him back on stage as soon as possible.
