Genre: Black Metal
For fans of: Septicflesh, Behemoth, Yoth Iria The recording lasted from July to October 2012, with producer Sakis Tolis — who also played bass — and mixing and mastering by Jens Bogren. Thematically it doesn’t follow one myth but many: Incas and Maya, Persia, Babylon and Sumer, Slavic and Romanian traditions, along with the Greek one. In December 2012 the new lineup was announced with guitarist George Emmanuel and bassist Vagelis Karzis, who stayed until 2019. The video for “χξϛʹ (666)” was directed by Jon Simvonis and the track was heard in 2020 in the trailer for the game “Mortal Shell”. Among the ten tracks there is also the Romanian traditional “Cine iubește și lasă”, with piano and vocals by Eleni and Suzana Vougioukli, while the lyrics of the closing “χξϛʹ” are based on the Revelation of John. Our take It is their densest album, with ideas from everywhere and no filler at all. “In Yumen-Xibalba” shows how far this band can go.
