The Germans Mad Max return with their new record «Stories Of Destiny», out on September 4, 2026 via ROAR (Reigning Phoenix Music). An album that finds the band in excellent form, with hooks that stick and the expected energy of the classic heavy sound.
Country: Germany
Genre: Heavy Metal / Melodic Hard Rock
For fans of: Bon Jovi, Sangre Azul, Saxon
The listen
The record opens with «Silver», a track that shows from the first moment that the band has found its pulse. «Keep You Alive» continues in the same vein, while «Bullet» strongly recalls Bon Jovi, which also explains the exuberant mood running through the album. «Mad Gone Blind» stands out with its two-part choruses, and «She Was Mine» shows a more mature side of the band, with catchier melodies that never turn saccharine.
The guitar solos of Jürgen Breforth and Wilfried Schneider are more targeted than before — fewer notes, more feeling. The closer comes with «Dulces Falsos», in Spanish, a tribute to the fans in Latin America that recalls the Spanish bands of the school, like Sangre Azul. «Weapons of Love» drops in intensity, while «Wings of Freedom» is a ballad you can skip.
