The world hasn’t gotten any better since “Lamentations of Cosmic Absurdity” came out in 2022. However, instead of losing the last spark of hope that Lijkschouwer’s first release embodied, we chose to embrace the power hidden in human connection, spirit and empathy. Faced with a seemingly insurmountable tide of disasters and injustices, deliberately imposed on the world by ruthless tyrants, we turned decisively away from despair and toward personal growth and fulfillment. We found strength and hope in each other, in the connections we build with others, in uniting under a just cause and in the simple beauties of nature.
The essence and the process of that growth form the basis of our second full-length album “All What Did the Blade Reveal”. It is a record about personal struggle and perseverance against overwhelming evil. It is a declaration of war and a love letter at the same time, and we are proud to present what we consider to be our most ambitious music to date.
Lijkschouwer’s second full-length album was recorded in June 2025 at Tonmeisterei studio in Oldenburg, Germany.
