Athenian Groove Therapist present their new single «Mama… Don’t Cry In Silence», a deeply emotional and socially charged song. Born from the need to express the unspoken pain, the rage but also the demand for justice after the deadly Tempi train disaster, the band turns collective grief into a powerful musical expression.
This work goes beyond the limits of an ordinary rock/metal single. It is a tribute to the 57 people who lost their lives so unfairly, acting as a resounding reminder that memory cannot and must not be silenced. Through the lyrics and melodies, Groove Therapist (active since 2012 with records such as «Mr. Funker The Myth» and «MONOLOGUE») combine personal mourning with social outrage at the omissions and the chronic pathologies of the country. They give voice to the victims’ families and turn loss into a call for accountability and the protection of human life.
For symbolic reasons, the single was released on February 28, 2025, at exactly 23:22 — the moment of the fatal collision two years earlier. The track is available for free via Bandcamp, underlining that this is a selfless act of remembrance and not commercial exploitation.
COMMENT / REVIEW : Art, when it is true, owes it to itself to listen to society and take a stand. When an entire nation carries such a deep, open wound as that of Tempi, music cannot remain indifferent. Groove Therapist understood this completely and delivered us “Mama… Don’t Cry In Silence”.

The band manages to channel the rage and the grief through its progressive rock/metal filters, in a way absolutely respectful of the weight of the subject.
