Exodus release the colossal title track from their new album, “Goliath,” out March 20, 2026 via Napalm Records! Unveiled today with an accompanying music video, “Goliath” simmersthe groove with chugging, malevolent leads, towering drums and ominous string work from violinist Katie Jacoby, combined with intricate guitars from the legendary Gary Holt.
Even over 40 years after their debut, Exodus steadfastly refuse to compromise with the safety of mediocrity and continue to forge their trademark with the same determination they did at their formation. The band’s highly anticipated 12th studio album is their most multifaceted offering to date, with several epic collaborations and marking the return of Rob Dukes as vocalist. Exodus on “Goliath” :
“‘Goliath’ is perhaps the heaviest thing we’ve ever done, and certainly the slowest song in our catalog, as close to doom metal as Exodus gets! Just absolute evil, as ominous as it gets, with our friend Katie Jacoby, who put 18 string parts in the middle harmony section, turning the song from pure terror into something beautiful.”

“Goliath” wastes no time proving itself as colossal as its name, with an ominous intro that opens “3111.” An ode to the reign of instability, “Hostis Humani Generis” features a tangible lyrical performance from Rob Dukes that cuts like crystal amid frenetic riffs, before sliding into “The Changing Me”. The track’s opening notes land on chilling rhythms, forming one of the band’s most anthemic offerings – combining menace and melody with the clean appearances of guest Peter Tägtgren ( Hypocrisy, Pain ) alongside Tom Hunting and by the end both Peter and Robb are shouting the song.
Harmonic double-axe acrobatics from guitar legends Gary Holt and Lee Altus. “Promise You This” incites mosh pit betrayal with explosive energy, cyclonic riffs and supercharged solos from Holt and Altus. Tracks like “Beyond The Event Horizon” and “2 Minutes Hate” offer Exodus their signature, deadly dose of thrash theatricality – the latter featuring one of the album’s grimiest, grooving pit primers – while the undeniably metallic charm with a ’90s tint attacks alongside the unquestionable rhythmic fury of drummer Tom Hunting and bassist Jack Gibson on tracks like “Violence Works”. The nearly eight-minute epic “Summon Of The God Unknown” turns the dangerous record up to the max, setting the stage with a tremendous introductory passage before traversing a varied run of drawn-out riffs and heavy metal melodies. The powerful closer “The Dirtiest Of The Dozen” wraps the album in a manic high, showcasing Exodus at their best on all instruments. Blended dueling solos, an isolated bass run, strict drumming dexterity and a mix of harsh vocal passages and sharp slogans combine to serve as yet another characteristic example of the band’s ever-evolving musical mastery.
Produced by Exodus, mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis ( Whitechapel, Nile, Undeath ), “Goliath” shines with the explosive authenticity that has distinguished Exodus from their peers for ages since the release of their debut, the groundbreaking 1985 thrash album, “Bonded By Blood.” 40 years later, Exodus steadfastly refuse to compromise with the safety of mediocrity, fearing nothing and no one and continuing to forge their trademark with the same determination as at their formation.
Exodus on the new album “Goliath” :
” Are we excited about this album? That’s an understatement. We gave everything we had to this album (and it’s 80% complete, but we’ll leave that discussion for another day!) and it’s one of our achievements we’re proud of. Highly collaborative, the most band-centered album to date with four songs written by Lee, lyrics by Gary, Rob, Lee and Tom, and simply amazing on all counts. The time to let the monster loose is coming! Bow down!”
