At The Gates honored the memory of Tomas «Tompa» Lindberg, one year after his death on September 16, 2025, at the age of 52.
In their message, the band wrote that his loss still feels unimaginable and that the world without him feels empty. They described him as one of the kindest, most generous and funniest people they ever met, and as a friend with whom they were lucky enough to create music.
At The Gates also thanked the fans for the words, stories and photos they shared over the year. As they noted, those messages meant more than they can put into words.
The band’s last album with Lindberg’s voice, «The Nightmare Of Being», had been released in 2021. The next chapter, «To Drink From The Night Itself», was completed before his death and came out later via Century Media.
