Space Gravel are an instrumental quartet from Athens that moves between heavy psychedelic rock and space rock. On September 18, 2026 they released their first full-length album, titled “Inside”, on vinyl and on all digital platforms.
“`Country: Greece (Athens)
Genre: Heavy psychedelic / instrumental space rock
For fans of: Naxatras, Tuber, Kyuss
“Inside” includes six long tracks and is instrumental from start to finish. The core of the sound is the rhythm section: Dimitris on bass and Alexis on drums started the band and gave it its distinctive groove, with dirty bass and tight drums. On top of that foundation were added the guitars of Michalis and Dinos, which range from stoner space to post punk.
The album is split into two sides. The first includes “End of Days”, “Eastbound” and “Hot Finger”, the second “Rapentosa”, “Tropical Fruit” and “Cat Style”. The two most recent singles, “End of Days” and “Rapentosa”, had already shown the direction: big, patiently built tracks that work like a sonic space trip full of groove and psychedelic atmospheres.
All the compositions belong to Dimitris Kofas and the arrangement was done by the whole band. The recording was done live at Suono Studio in Athens, production and mixing are credited to Alex Bolpasis and mastering to Nick Townsend, while the artwork is by Aris Apartian. The title “Inside” — “inside” — gives the band the occasion to talk about an inner world that is as vast as the universe. The album is presented live on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Death Disco (Ogygou 16, Psyrri), with support from Muth Labben.
