Vertiginous return with Incessant Affliction, an album that picks up exactly where Reek Of Putrefaction On Excruciating Lust left off — raw, extreme and violent brutal death metal with no intention of letting you breathe. The Indonesian duo builds a world full of distortion, putrefaction and psychological paranoia, with ten tracks that work like one continuous assault.
The album opens with “Suffering, Misery and Slaughtering”, a track that immediately shows the style: fast, sharp riffs, drums that pound like a machine and vocals that come from the darkest depths. Hendika Dwi Prasetyo handles guitars, bass and drums with surgical precision, while Jossi Bima delivers a vocal performance that feels like drowning in blood — deep, violent, almost inhuman.
“Engraved Loathing” stands out for its riffs, with a structure that feels like a body being dismembered piece by piece. “Chaotic in the Weakened Reason” is one of the album’s most unsettling moments, with vocals that sound like delirium. “Tortured with Endless Despair” has sick bass tones and a sense of constant pressure, while “Incubated Inquietude” is pure assault — speed, violence and a one-way need for destruction.
“Unclear Misery” closes the album in the most relentless way: no mercy, no breath, no intention of letting the listener rest. Incessant Affliction doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is: brutal death metal at its most extreme.
The mixing and mastering were done at Endless Gruesome Studio, known for releases such as Vile Desolation and Analtopsy. The sound is dirty, sharp and full of weight — like a body taking continuous bursts from a machine gun. The artwork by Timbul Cahyono (Bvllmetalart) fits perfectly: rotten, violent, full of flesh and terror.
Incessant Affliction is out on August 7, 2026 via Comatose Music, a label that consistently supports the extreme end of brutal death metal. Vertiginous show they have no intention of slowing down — and they leave no one a place to hide.
