For fans of: Rotting Christ, Necromantia, Nightfall The album arrived at a time when the band was already playing live frequently and had begun to move away from the slow death-doom sound of their debut toward darker, more melodic forms. Christos Antoniou’s keyboards and samplers take on a bigger role, while Sotiris Vayenas’s lyrics revolve around the inner world and doubt — something that fits the title perfectly. The 2013 reissue brought the work to a new audience, together with the corresponding reissues of their following albums. Already here the element that would become the band’s trademark is visible: the balance between the weight of death metal and an atmosphere that recalls dark romanticism more than anything else coming out of Greece at the time.
