The veteran heavy metal band Armored Saint has released a music video for their song ” Every Man-Any Man “, which was directed by Robert Graves, according to theprp . This song is included on the band’s recent album “Emotion Factory Reset”, which was released by Metal Blade Records at the end of last month.
«Every man has his price» is a more familiar phrase and that’s the point, but we didn’t want to say it that way. It was too obvious. We said, «What if we called the first part of the lyric ‘every man-any man’ and then just stopped there?» The guitar intro has almost that Andy Summers/Police aura. Then [Joey Vera] comes in with that nice bass groove. That’s vintage Joey. He’s such a grooving bass player, and it sounds incredibly unique. You probably won’t hear a groove like that from many metal bands.
Combined with [drummer] Gonzo [Sandoval], sometimes the grooves they lock in are essential to the Armored Saint sound and they’ve been doing it for years. When those two guys are united, it’s truly perfect, because it’s like they’re playing in the Commodores. That’s the feeling that, I think, is the beauty of Armored Saint. It takes it to another place that many bands can’t reach in the metal world. This is a perfect example. – John Bush

I liked the idea of the lyrics, the music and the chorus having the same musical parts, but with different vocals. That idea was inspired by a song by the band The Police. I also wanted to add everything but the kitchen sink, so there are references to Foo Fighters, Thin Lizzy, and it all ends with a killer Armored Saint riff. – Joey Vera
