Review
Bloodkill return with Systemic Disruption, an EP that leaves no room to breathe. Four tracks, all pushed to the red, with groove‑loaded riffs, low tunings and thrash aggression that recalls the era when Testament and Forbidden were tearing up stages. The band plays with a raw, unrefined energy that clearly shows the Indian underground scene is on fire.
The riffs are heavy, sharp and full of nerve, while the drums hit with speed and precision, giving the EP a sense of continuous assault. Anirudh Gollapudi’s voice is full of bile and intensity, with a snappy, aggressive delivery that fits the material perfectly. Thematically, Bloodkill move along dark, social and technological paths, with lyrics that touch on the paranoia of the modern age and the alienation created by digital reality.
The EP doesn’t have a second of filler. It’s four tracks that hit straight at the centre, with an attitude that smells of the underground and a technique that shows a band determined to step up a level. If someone wants to understand what Bloodkill are doing in 2026, “Systemic Disruption” and “Digital Spell” are the most characteristic moments: fast, heavy, groove‑loaded and with a clear thrash heart.
The overall picture recalls a blend of Testament, Forbidden and Machine Head, but with their own character and a raw, modern production that gives weight to every hit. Systemic Disruption is a small but powerful show of force from a band that shows it has plenty to give.
