Fuming Mouth return with the new single “Cheat Death”, another strong sample from the upcoming album The Ringing Bell, out on July 17 via Triple B Records. The track comes with an official video and makes it clear that the band is entering one of its most personal and intense phases.
An immediate and powerful message
“Cheat Death” is the opening track of the record and, as Mark Whelan says, was written to open the album with a clear, positive statement. With heavy riffs, sharp rhythm and the characteristic aggression of Fuming Mouth, the song lays the groundwork for the journey “from death back to life” that follows on The Ringing Bell.
The meaning behind The Ringing Bell
The album’s title is based on the symbolic power of the bell — warning, change, completion, a new beginning. The Ringing Bell is an album born out of endurance, transformation and perseverance, and that shows in every track.
Fuming Mouth have built their reputation through years of work in the New England underground scene, with constant releases and relentless touring. The new album shows a band that has matured, but remains hard and emotionally charged.

Jay Weinberg’s contribution
Jay Weinberg (Slipknot, Suicidal Tendencies) features on the album, adding new energy and intensity on drums. His presence gives the material an extra dynamism, while Whelan’s voice and guitar remain the core of the sound.
The result is an album that combines weight, atmosphere and raw emotion, without losing the aggression that defines Fuming Mouth.
