Worm Chewer, the earthy, oddball hero who has gone viral through the TikTok episodes of NETHERWILDS, returns with the official music video “Return The Goat” — the first chapter of an ambitious fantasy‑metal story that combines extreme metal, medieval folk, dark humour and epic storytelling.
The video serves as the introduction to the project’s upcoming debut album, expected in the autumn via King Volume Records.

The concept
The story begins with a simple, almost ridiculous premise: Worm Chewer’s goat has disappeared. But this leads to a quest that grows into something much bigger — war, adventure and perhaps a better life for the battered peasant.
The video, directed by Noah Douglas and Jake Thompson, follows Worm Chewer and his newly formed “gang” as they begin the search for the goat. Along the way, the viewer meets the strange world of NETHERWILDS: kings, mystics, executioners, rebels and all kinds of characters who inhabit a medieval universe full of mud, humour and despair.
Worm Chewer declares: “Even though my goat was lost, I gained a company of minstrels. Together we wander the kingdom playing our peasant metal, searching for the goat, for glory and for slightly better living conditions.”

The project was born from David Monks of Tokyo Police Club, evolved from a cult online phenomenon into a complete musical universe and now forms a creative platform where medieval fantasy meets modern anxieties: power, survival, inequality and the resilience of ordinary people.
