The Americans WARFORGED return with “The Grove | Almanac”, three years after The Grove | Sundial — with an even stronger deathcore influence and unusual progressive elements.
Country: USA (Illinois)
Genre: Deathcore / Progressive Metal
For fans of: Rivers of Nihil, King 810, Black Tongue
The band from Chicago plays a brilliant progressive deathcore that sounds unique in its genre. Although some moments resemble Black Tongue or Rivers of Nihil, the final result is their own.
The best moments are the more “relaxed” tracks, like “I Wish You Could Live Forever” and “Pathetic Wish”, which touch on melodic metalcore. The review arrives at 4/10 — an album that confuses action with progress.
