Sabaton released «Legends», the record that found them in form and with a product ready for admiration. As Metal Temple says: there isn’t a single wrong note — all the tracks are balanced, easy on the ear and high quality.
Country: Sweden
Genre: Power Metal
For fans of: Amon Amarth, Powerwolf, Rammstein
The listen
The sound is excellent, the band in excellent shape and everything flows smoothly. As Metal Temple notes, if Amon Amarth is the music to rally your troops before battle, Sabaton is the music of the celebration after victory — songs easy, immediate and instantly recognizable.
«Legends» hides no surprises beneath the surface: it is what it says it is, with no hidden layers, and it doesn’t necessarily grow with repeated listens. Like instant coffee compared to freshly ground — some prefer it that way. Musically, though, there’s nothing to fault: a complete, high-quality power metal album.
