Eightball Club presents Preacher’s Purgatory on a night for those who grew up with Running Wild’s early years: «Gates to Purgatory» will be heard in full, something that has never happened live in Thessaloniki before.
The details
- Friday, March 5, 2027 — Eightball Club, Pindou 1, Ladadika, Thessaloniki
- Start time: 20:00
- Live: the debut «Gates to Purgatory» in full, along with songs from the 1982-1985 period
- Presale: Classic cafe-bar «Diorofon», Nephilim, Alone and Dizzydolls
- Ticket prices: announcement expected
Behind the band is Preacher, one of the people who founded Running Wild. He was there on guitar on «Gates to Purgatory», the 1984 album that made the Germans known across the entire heavy metal scene. Now his work lives again on stage, with the debut played from start to finish.
On drums sits Stefan Schwarzmann. He came through Running Wild — playing on albums such as «Port Royal» and «Pile of Skulls» and the live «Ready for Boarding» — and then through Helloween, Accept, Krokus and U.D.O. On bass is Rikki Mannhard (Lonewolf, Mystery Blue), on guitar Jérémy Mannhard (Mystery Blue) and on vocals Nima Sadeghi (Steel Shock).
The set doesn’t stop at the debut. Other songs from the band’s early years will also be heard, from the 1982-1985 span, that is the period with their fastest and wildest sound.
