Morbid Stench are a death/doom metal trio from El Salvador and Costa Rica and their third record, «Doom Metástasis», has a release date of 2 October 2026 on Nuclear Winter Records. Six tracks, about forty minutes of music.

The band was started in 2016 by drummer Purulent and guitarist and bassist Morbid, two names known from death-thrashers Conceived by Hate and later from Invocation of Death. On vocals is Master Butcher of Necrogod, previously in Insepulto. All three have moved for years in the extreme sound of Central America, in bands, record shops and labels of the scene.
Before this record there had been the EP «The Stench of Doom» (2016), the first record «Doom & Putrefaction» (2019) and «The Rotting Ways of Doom» (2022), which brought cleaner melodies and more sludge and doom into the playing and brought them a lot more people. The base stays the same: slow and thick rhythms, riffs that build with patience, without gothic touches.
The album’s theme is the illness that spreads, the metastases inside a body that is lost piece by piece. The first half moves more turbulent, the second sinks. It opens with «Necrotic from Within», which lasts almost eight minutes and gives its best in the guitars, continues with the clipped and more aggressive «The Morbid Waltz» and passes through «Hyperbolic». On «Bizarre and Beyond» the band comes very close to the Crowbar of the nineties, while «Narcissistic God» and «Crawling Out of the Swamps» close the record.
The production is clean and at the same time very heavy, with the bassline holding the volume. The six compositions are fuller than one expects from death/doom: things happen constantly, without losing the weight.
