PRESS RELEASE : Three years after the release of the excellent EP “Seismos“, Sidus — the Greek post-metal act now based in Berlin — return with force. Their new single and video clip titled “Soul Gazing” is the precursor to their first full-length album, which is expected to be released within 2026 in collaboration with dunk!records, A Thousand Arms and Black Box Records.
Inspired by Nietzsche’s famous phrase, “Soul Gazing” captures sonically the concept of reciprocity: looking into the abyss and seeing yourself reflected back. Instead of danger, though, the track proposes transformation, where the confrontation with the unknown leads to self-knowledge. On drums on the track is Noah See of sludge/post-metallers Conjurer. The single was produced by Enrico Tiberi, while mixing and mastering were entrusted to Joe Clayton at No Studio. Finally, the excellent accompanying video is a creation of the project Hollow Motions.
